I’ve been contemplating the idea of starting out my own blog for some time now.. I finally did it on some fun night, while on vacation in Cairo.
My blog is going to be about all that I love in this life. From recipes to fashion, and some lifestyle & home improvement projects. It is going to feature a lot of what inspires me- big or small: Arts, grand fashion houses, local Lebanese designers, handmade ornaments and apparel, simple projects… etc
Hover around for my little treasures discovered all over the internet, at some local Lebanese shops, or via people I meet here & there.

Thanks for visiting my blog and following! Not only good for the ego but I got to find yours which is very interesting. A Lebanese food shop opened up not far from our home in Vancouver last summer. I hope it is still there when we get back as they had some yummy things.

It’s not a restaurant but a shop that sells nuts and dried fruit and spices. (I have never seen such beautiful saffron in my life!) I do like Lebanese food, however, and chicken shawarma, hummus, taboule and falafel are among my favorites. What else should I try?

Yes, Gibran is one of my favorite authors. I adore him and love him very much! š My favorite book of his…. well, of course, is “The Prophet”. š But I like his other works too: “The Broken Wings” and “Spirits Rebellious”. Often my flash fiction is inspired by “The Madman”. A great one!
I’d say I’m very much influenced by the Great Gibran. You wouldn’t believe me until you read my poems. Check these out: “Millions of Candles”, “Whirling Towards the Divinity”, “She Surrendered to the Transcend”. Have a look and I hope you enjoy what I have in store! š

My father is from Jerusalem and my mother is from Bethlehem. I have some family in Lebanon as well. Unfortunately, I haven’t been to the Middle East yet. But I’m sure that one day I will go there to visit family!
